New BOD System

Written by: Equinox

You can get your BODs from the vendor called Karaborsacı (the black marketeer) in Luna, for gold.

BODs (Bulk Order Deeds) are a system through which blacksmith and tailor characters can earn special items, gold and fame. In December 2016 the system was expanded on OSI to also include Alchemy, Bowcraft, Carpentry, Cooking, Inscription and Tinkering.

Players with at least 0.1 skill have a chance to receive a BOD. To do so, left click the relevant NPC vendor and click Bulk Order Info in the menu that opens.

BODs can be obtained from the following NPC vendors:

  • Alchemy – NPC Alchemist
  • Blacksmith – NPC Armorer, Blacksmith, Iron Worker and Weaponsmith
  • Bowcraft – NPC Bowyer
  • Carpentry – NPC Carpenter
  • Cooking – NPC Baker, Cook
  • Inscription – NPC Scribe
  • Tailor – NPC Tailor and Weaver
  • Tinker – NPC Tinker
  • Karaborsacı (the black marketeer)

Keeping expired BOD claims

  • NPC vendors hold on to your last three BOD claims.
  • Regardless of skill, a BOD can be obtained once every 6 hours.
  • The system holds unclaimed BODs for you for up to 18 hours.
  • You can claim your 3 stored BOD claims back to back.
  • When you fill and turn in a BOD you earn the right to receive a new one.
For example:
  • Example 1: if you log in after 18 hours, you can claim 3 BODs at once.
  • Example 2: you claimed 3 BODs, filled them and turned them in; you immediately earn the right to claim 3 more.
Each skill's BOD has a different color. Double clicking a BOD shows you the item name, the required amount, the required quality and the material details. BODs are "blessed", they cannot be stolen.

There are two ways to fill small BODs.

  • If the required items have been crafted and are in your backpack, or in another bag inside your backpack, pick "Combine this deed with contained items" and click the bag holding the items; all matching items are added to the BOD automatically.

  • With the "Combine this deed with the item requested" option you can add items one by one by clicking them. Use this for potions and other stackable items.
To claim your reward you can drag and drop the completed BOD onto the NPC vendor, or add it to a matching Large BOD. Before turning in a BOD you can enable or disable the Banking Points option. You do not have to turn a BOD in to the NPC vendor you got it from; any NPC vendor that gives that type of BOD will do. Items added to a BOD cannot be taken back.

BOD Types

Small BODs
are the primary BOD type for crafters with 70 skill or higher. A player below 70 skill will always receive small BODs.

Below 70 skill you always get BODs that ask for normal quality items (they can also be filled with exceptional items), that must be made from basic materials (iron, plain wood, plain leather or cloth), and that give skill gain while being filled. These are ideal BODs for training.

Large BODs are received more rarely and are harder to fill: they require several small BODs of the requested item type to be filled, and the filled Small BODs to be added to the matching Large BOD, just as items are added to Small BODs. The picture below shows a Large BOD that must be filled with 5 small BODs. The type and count requested must be matched exactly.

Order Filling Exceptions

  • Normal (non-exceptional) BODs can be filled with exceptional BODs.
  • Exceptional BODs can only be filled with exceptional items.
  • Large BODs that ask for plain material (iron or leather) can be filled with Small BODs that ask for colored material. The exception is that colored footwear Small BODs cannot be combined with cloth Large BODs.
BOD Bribery

  • Players can bribe the NPC vendors that hand out BODs.
  • NPC vendors accept a bribe from a player to upgrade a BOD to a better one.
    • Upgrades: amount, quality, material
    • Only completely empty BODs can be upgraded.
  • NPC vendors can get greedier over time and demand a bigger bribe.
    • Higher level BODs require a bigger bribe.
  • NPC vendors who take bribes too often come under Guild investigation and stop accepting bribes for a while.
  • To start the process, pick the Bribe option from that NPC vendor's menu and follow the instructions.

Rewards

There are 3 kinds of reward. The first is gold. For large BODs the gold value depends on the type. The gold reward for small BODs is half the NPC vendor price of the requested item multiplied by the number of items (if an item sells for 200 gold at an NPC vendor, the reward is 100 x the number of items in gold). The reward gold goes straight into the character's bank account.

The second reward is an amount of fame, calculated from the BOD's point value.

The third reward is points. They can be spent right away on a special reward, or a certain percentage of them can be banked for later use. This is where the "Banking Points" option on the BOD comes in.

With "Always" selected, points are banked without asking for confirmation.
With "Enabled" selected, dropping the BOD on the NPC vendor opens the menu below.

You can pick "No" to go to the reward selection menu, or press "OKAY" to bank the points. Pressing "enter" on the keyboard is the same as pressing "OKAY".

With "Disable" selected, dropping the BOD on the NPC vendor opens the reward menu directly.

Points and Banking

  • 2% of small BOD points and 20% of large BOD points can be banked.
  • Banked points cannot be combined with unbanked ones.
    • Example: if a character has banked 20 points and turns in a BOD worth 610 points, the points they can spend are 610, not 630.
  • Points can be spent on any reward requiring an equal or lower point value, and leftover points are lost.
    • Example: if a character turns in a BOD worth 610 points without choosing to bank points and takes a reward worth 575 points, the leftover 35 points are lost.
  • Banked points can be spent through the "Claim Rewards" option in the NPC vendor menu.
  • You can close the reward menu without picking a reward, but you cannot turn in a new BOD until you have claimed the reward you earned through the "Claim Rewards" menu.

BOD Books

BOD books are designed to store large numbers of BODs. Think of a book as a bag that can only hold BODs; the BOD's type and size do not matter.

Books also have a filtering option that shows only the BOD types you want.

BOD Books and Player Vendors

BOD books can be placed on vendors in two different ways:

  1. Add the book as "not for sale" and then set a separate price for each BOD inside it. The book will let buyers purchase the BOD they pick at the stated price. The filtering options can be used while doing so.
  2. Add the book as "not for sale" and do not set prices for the BODs inside. This is simply a storage method that only works for BODs.
