Game Rules

Before you register with Ultimate World and connect to the shard, read the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy; by registering you accept them. Every record created on an account is held within the Ultimate World structure, and only Ultimate World may change or delete those records.
The security of an account, and everything done through it, is the player's own responsibility. Ultimate World staff never ask for your password under any circumstances, though they may contact a member themselves when they need to. If your account is stolen you may file a recovery request; once you prove the account is yours, it is recovered and handed back to you.
If you forget your password, request a reset link at Forgot My Password; it is sent to the e-mail address registered to your account. This is the only way a password is renewed, and reset requests made through any other channel are not accepted. Keeping the account's e-mail address up to date is the player's own responsibility.
Swearing, slang, insults and degrading language on the site or in the game are forbidden, as is hate speech and any wording, implication or remark that amounts to political or social discrimination. Accounts that behave this way are suspended immediately.
Starting an argument in game, or using language meant to provoke one, is forbidden and is penalised with a squelch. Political arguments, statements of political opinion and political subjects of any kind have no place in the game's channels.
Repeating the same word or line over and over (spam/flood) needlessly loads the server and is forbidden. The system warns the player and stops the flood; a first offence carries a 1 day squelch as a warning, and anyone who keeps at it is given a 1 week jail sentence.
Character names, guild names and the like may not use a staff name or title, or any word that suggests one. Names that target another player's family or their religious, political or ethnic values, or that are demeaning or likely to start an argument, are forbidden whether or not they were meant that way.
Scamming other players, threatening them, trying to take over their accounts and using cheats are all forbidden. Deliberately ruining another player's game is penalised in the same way as any other unlawful conduct in game.
Disrupting an event run by the staff calls for an indefinite ban on the character or a jail sentence. How long the sentence runs is at the staff's discretion.
Houses may not be placed in public areas, on plots sold by the staff, in spots that give a large and unfair advantage, or on land marked as off limits. Every area where housing is banned has papers on the ground saying so, and any house placed there is moved or deleted without question.
Advertising other shards, sharing an IP and port, or posting links to other websites is forbidden. Any character, account and IP address caught doing so is banned indefinitely.
Connect to the game only with the client and the programs published on Ultimate World's own website. Ultimate World takes no responsibility for the consequences of using programs that are not its own, nor for any damage such programs cause.
Running and using speed programs is forbidden. Players found using one during staff checks are given a 30 day jail sentence, and characters caught doing it again are jailed for 1 year. Penalties like these are applied only after long and careful investigation by the staff.
Anything that clearly should not be happening may count as bug abuse: gains that come far too easily, walking away with no loss where there should have been one, or any behaviour of a system or an item that is not documented. The fact that something is not blocked does not make it allowed, and gains of this kind come back on you as a penalty whether they were taken knowingly or not. Sabotaging the systems, making use of a hole in them and telling others about that hole are all forbidden. If you think something is a bug, page the staff and report it instead of using it.
Communication with the staff must be respectful and appropriate in tone. Calling the staff to account for the changes they make, complaining in unsuitable language, mocking or belittling them, and pressing or insisting when a staff member is dealing with you in game, are all forbidden. Conduct of this kind is penalised as the staff see fit.
The systems and practices on the shard are not open to dispute with the staff; changing or reworking them rests with the Ultimate World staff, and Ultimate World reserves the right to make any change to its systems. Asking the staff to try out, test or prove that a system works is likewise forbidden; where a test is genuinely needed, the staff carry it out themselves. Opinions and complaints about the shard can be sent through the page system in game.
The page system is for problems you cannot solve without a staff member's help, and you are responsible for everything you say through it. Before you page, look at UltimateUO.com, the Ultima Online information sites (uoguide, uostratics, uowiki) and the players on our Discord channel. Keep your message short, clear and easy to follow; do not address a page to a particular staff member by name or write things like "Could you come over here?"; and do not send a thank-you page once you have had an answer. A page that was deleted was not judged to need a reply. Accounts that ignore the proper form and tone when paging are given a jail sentence.
Penalties are given to the character and to the account behind it; who was playing the character, and why the offence happened, makes no difference to the penalty. Penalties are never transferred. Items, houses, guilds, families, walls, castles, mounts and similar belongings of a penalised character are not moved over to another character.
An indefinite ban can be lifted in two cases only: a penalty given for how you behaved towards the staff may be lifted at the staff's own discretion, and a penalty for harm done to another player requires that harm to be made good and that player to ask for the ban to be lifted. Bans given for bug abuse or for running a macro that is not allowed are not lifted. There will never be a general amnesty.
Offences the written rules do not cover are decided by the staff after discussing them among themselves, and a temporary measure may be applied to the character while that is going on. Not having read the rules, not knowing them or not having seen them is no excuse; keeping up with the rules and following them is the player's own responsibility.
Players are free to trade with each other for Turkish Lira, that is real money. Ultimate World takes no commission on these trades; players arrange them between themselves and may take payment by bank transfer, Papara and the like. Such trades are made at the players' own risk.
Ultimate World provides its service free of charge, and no 100% uptime guarantee is given for the shard, the website or the staff. Putting right the losses caused by a server-side fault is at the staff's discretion; where the source and cause of a fault are not certain, the loss is not covered and no undertaking is given that it will be. The shard may be shut down temporarily, taken into maintenance or restarted to back up data and service the server machine, at any hour of any day and without notice. No guarantee is given that losses suffered in game, whether caused by the server or by the player, will be restored or refunded.
Balance you load reaches the game straight away and is not refundable. Please read the rules before loading any.
Each member may have at most 5 game accounts. The limit also applies per IP address; players from the same home share it. Players choose their own account name (4-16 characters, letters and digits) and set a separate password for each account; accounts are managed on the oyun-hesaplarim.php page. Accounts with no GAME login for a year are deleted, with e-mail warnings sent 30 days and 7 days beforehand. The characters, items and houses on a deleted account cannot be restored. A verified e-mail address is required so those warnings can reach you.
