Pet Training

Written by: Yanaz

In this document we will go over the basics of Pet training and learn how to raise a pet's Stats, Resists and Skills.

Pet Training basically lets us strengthen the pets we already have, because the animals from the older versions stand no chance against the powerful creatures of the new version. In return, the pet's slot count goes up and its obedience percentage goes down.

Not every animal can reach 5 slots, and it is not the case that every animal that does reach 5 slots will be strong; you have to experiment to end up with the most optimal pet. For each slot we gain 1501 training points.

In this article I will explain everything using a Cu Sidhe; it will differ for other animals, and you can shape things according to your imagination and the type of pet you want.

First we open the status window of the pet we are training with our Animal Lore skill.

As you can see in the picture, trainable animals show a Begin Animal Training button. When we click it an experience bar opens, and our pet gains a certain amount of experience as it meets enemies. When it reaches 100%, we open the pet's info window with lore again and press the Pet Training Options button; a warning window comes up asking whether we confirm that the pet will go up by 1 slot. We confirm it and the training menu opens.

Stat Menu

Strength : Muscle power. It raises our pet's base damage, can be pushed to a maximum of 700 and costs 3 training points per 1 str.

Dexterity : Agility. It increases our pet's swing and running speed, can be pushed to a maximum of 150 and costs 0.1 training points per 1 dex.

Intelligence : Intellect. It increases our pet's mana regeneration and spell power, can be pushed to a maximum of 700 and costs 0.5 training points per 1 int.

The stats together cannot exceed 2300 Training points. That is Training points, not stat points.

For example

700 str = 700*3=2100

150 dex = 150*0,1=15

371 int = 371*0,5=185

2300 Training Points in total

Hit Points : Health. It raises our pet's maximum health and costs 3 training points per 1 hp.

Stamina : Endurance. It lets our pet keep its swing speed; as it takes damage its stamina drops and its swing speed drops with it. It costs 0.5 training points per 1 stam.

Mana : Mana is spent on our pet's spells and abilities. It costs 0.5 training points per 1 mana

Hit Point Regenaration : Health regeneration lets our pet's health recover automatically. It stays at a low level and costs 18 training points per 1 regen.

Stamina Regeneration : Stamina regeneration lets our pet's stamina recover automatically. It stays at a low level and costs 12 training points per 1 regen.

Mana Regeneration : Mana regeneration lets our pet's mana recover automatically. It stays at a low level and costs 12 training points per 1 regen.

Base Damage Per Second : It raises the pet's plain melee damage and costs 5 training points per 1 damage.

Every resist type costs 3 training points per 1 resist. A single resist can be pushed to a maximum of 80, and the total resist value cannot exceed 365

Physical Resistance : Defense against physical type damage; it increases our pet's resistance to physical damage.

Fire Resistance : Defense against fire type damage; it increases our pet's resistance to fire damage.

Cold Resistance : Defense against cold type damage; it increases our pet's resistance to cold damage.

Poison Resistance : Defense against poison type damage; it increases our pet's resistance to poison damage.

Energy Resistance : Defense against energy type damage; it increases our pet's resistance to energy damage.

Increase Magic Skill Caps and Increase Combat Skill Caps:

These raise the caps of the skills we teach our pet. For that we need the white scrolls that drop from champs, the ones we call ps. Each skill costs a different amount of training points.
